- Our Story
This beautiful handcrafted blanket is made by weavers of San Juan La Laguna in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
The natural plant-dyeing process for each blanket takes three days to complete, and the textile is then woven on the traditional back-strap loom over five days. Three lienzos (canvases) are then joined with intricate hand embroidery to reach the desired width. Due to the handcrafted nature, there may be slight variations.
Your purchase helps preserve millennial craft traditions, provides economic empowerment to artisans, and contributes to social programs for artisan communities.
